-Peter F. Vallone Scholarship

MAINTAIN a "B" average or better and receive a grant from the the New York City Council based on the city budget for four years. Associate's degree students are eligible for 6 semesters. You may qualify for additional financial aid, based on need.

-The William E. Macaulay Honors College (MHC)

A flagship program of the University that provides an enhanced undergraduate education to academically gifted students. Since its inauguration in 2001, the Honors College has grown rapidly, drawing on the unique resources of CUNY and New York's cultural, scientific, government, and business communities to provide its students with a broad-based and challenging liberal arts education.

-Queens College Scholars Program

The Queens College Scholars program offers a variety of merit-based scholarships each fall to full-time freshmen. (Applicants to the CUNY William E. Macaulay Honors College (MHC) need not file a Queens College Scholars application.) In addition to filing a freshman application indicating Queens College as the first choice, interested students must also file a Queens College Scholars application prior to February 1.

The CUNY website now has available a Financial Aid Estimator to calculate the financial aid awards you may receive if you attend CUNY for Spring 2007.

Student Ambassador Program Ambassador Login

A Student Ambassador is a positive, enthusiastic, well-informed representative of the Queens College student body. Ambassadors are interested in working with faculty, students, and members of the Admissions Office to promote the college’s programs and services. They assist with on-campus special events such as open house seminars and commencement, in addition to leading campus tours and participating in off-campus recruitment efforts at high schools and college fairs.




Why should you be a Student Ambassador?

  • Expand your communication and leadership skills
  • Provide oppurtunities to deal with a wide variety of people.
  • Work as a team with your peers
  • An opportunity to share your knowledge of the college with high school students and members of the community.
  • Build your resume with letters of recommendation from the Director of Admissions, along with a certificate of appreciation from Queen's College signed by the College President and Director of Admissions.
  • Receive early registration.
  • All Student Ambassadors will receive a free Queens College Ambassador Jacket


How much time does serving as a Student Ambassador Take?


Assignments, on-campus events, and recruitment will involve weekdays, evenings, or weekends. This is a one-year commitment - please do not apply if you are planning to leave or graduate before the end of the academic year. This opportunity is available for full and part time Queens College students. All assignments and obligations as an ambassador will work around your class schedule. A minimum of 4 completed events and approximately 5 cumulative hours for meeting and discussion sessions for the academic year (Fall/Spring).

How to become a Student Ambassador:


Applicants must have at least sophomore standing (28+ credits) with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 to apply. An ambassador application must be completed and submitted online. A link will appear at the top of this page when we are accepting new applications. Qualified applicants will be granted an interview and overview of policies.

Applications for the program will resume in January 2008!
